The show at Glasgow’s Garage will be the last major stop-off before the promotion’s landmark annual event - Fear & Loathing - which is, this year, hitting its 12th year.
Not only that, but the first match announcement for France 2000 sees an incredible Six-Man Tag Team Match with More Than Hype facing off against Kieran Kelly, Aaron Echo and a man we featured on our Introducing… series - Leyton Buzzard!
A Fear & Loathing warm-up?
Well, there’s no doubt that France 2000 will be an incredible show in its own right, emanating from The Garage - an incredibly intimate venue that’s no stranger to ICW, with wrestlers battling it out on the balconies or at the bar when Fight Club rolls into town for the promotion’s On Demand tapings.
However, even simply calling France 2000 a “warm-up” for Fear & Loathing XII does it no disservice. ICW is one of the most exciting promotions on the globe right now, and the past 11 annual F&L events have been the company’s own ‘WrestleMania’ events, selling out the 5,000-capacity and running shows at Glasgow’s 11,000-capacity SSE Hydro.
Fear & Loathing is ICW’s landmark annual event and this year takes place over two nights, and has previously seen Grado win the ICW World Heavyweight Championship at the aforementioned sold out SECC from Drew McIntyre, with help from WWE legend Mick Foley!
This year’s Fear & Loathing will see Stevie Boy defending his ICW World Heavyweight Championship against Joe Coffey - a man who defeated Kurt Angle at F&L IX in the Hydro, a show where Finn Balor was the special guest commissioner.
Well, we recently caught up with Joe Coffey to talk all about ICW and NXT UK, among other things. You can read the entire interview here, or watch it below.
Tickets for France 2000 and Fear & Loathing XII are available here.
